I was thinking guys... this may be one of the most turbulent themes of the entire zodiac contest since IMHO it is the easiest theme to think about a slingshot design. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" longdesc="5"><br><br>Think about it for a second: it has a natural archetype for a slingshot design. Its front paws can be used as the band fixers, the antennas as an aim for the ammo and the space between the legs can be used to grab the "body" of the slingshot, making it perfectly suitable to human anatomy. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_twisted.gif" alt="Twisted Evil" longdesc="13"><br><br>Here is an image I made some notes about:<br><img src="http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/3959/cancerzodiacsymbol.png" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Yellow Arrow => the band fixers; <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_cool.gif" alt="Cool" longdesc="6"><br>Green Arrow => the aim; <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" longdesc="15"><br>Orange Arrows => space to hold its body using the fingers; <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_scratch.png" alt="scratch" longdesc="33"><br><br>Also, even if you wanna try the classic zodiac symbol you can take some ideas from it at the first moment. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" longdesc="5"><br><br>Brown Arrows => the band fixers; <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"><br><br>And of course in the middle of it goes the ammo. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_cheers.png" alt="cheers" longdesc="28"><br><br>What do you guys think about it? I'd like to know your opinion. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Rolling Eyes" longdesc="14"><br><br>After this you might think I'm stoned or something like that, but anyway this is how a designer mind has to be. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" longdesc="9"><br><br>Cheers! <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Very Happy" longdesc="1">

Rather than stoned I'd say brilliant. A good starting point.<br><br>Why don't you try to reprocess the cancer icon in wireframe view? Other possibilities might appear.<br><br>If you are thinking "why don't you do it yourself and post it here for eveybody to see", I would concede it to be a perfect sensible question. In fact it's what I'm trying to do with the worst possible results. If I manage to get to something worth showing I'll post it right away.<br><br>In the meanwhile thanks for the hints.<br><br>V

Actually, I'm more like a project-guy than an action-guy when the subject is crafting slingshots. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_redface.gif" alt="Embarassed" longdesc="10"><br><br>I'm still gathering resources to start trainning my crafting skills with wood and/or metal and until I'm done with this process I may just help people with my ideas. This is one of the advantages of being a designer. You daydream a lot about all kind of stuff you see/read/feel and get lots of ideas. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Rolling Eyes" longdesc="14"><br><br>But anyway, thanks a lot for the compliments and I'd be glad to see my ideas in practice even by other hands. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Very Happy" longdesc="1"><br><br>I'll be around if someone needs more ideas like these. All you need is ask me.
