@failureisalwaysanoption....I agree, i prefer jorgs designs too, but he doesn't sell them (sigh), and
i would rather buy a quality patented one myself because i know it would be a lot better than
what i could dish up lol. Trouble is finding a quality patented manufacturer of sling rifles that sell
to the public.

    @redneckozzy,
Joerg show how to make stuff and if you make it like he said( material, dimentions, etc...) you will have no problem. He will not put everything on the web risking that the people hurt themselfs. I am sure there is a lot of weapons he made and didn' t publish them because it was too dangerous for the users. I trust him more than someone who try to sell me something.

Actually, I get the feeling from Joerg that it's less about a safety aspect and more about encouraging people to figure things out for themselves. The next guy who puts together a sling bow just might figure out a better way to do something that wouldn't have happened if he followed blueprints. It's all about innovation and the evolution of the hobby.

@toksick.... Unfortunatley i don't have the skills, tools etc to make jorgs designs, even
with pictures and tutorial videos i would struggle to complete one! So this why i prefer
to buy them new, don't get me wrong i love jorgs inventions and i think he should
patent his own and sell them too!... But it is his decision to just share his ideas,
which is a great thing in itself i believe.

I have been thinking about giving a design to Peter Hogan, so he can make the mechanical parts in aluminum. The user would simply have to add a wooden rod to make it functional. Or he could go elaborate and make a beauty out of the weapon, by carving a stock and so on.

@joerg... Thanks for your comment joerg.. yes, a DIY design that comes in a few pieces with a
nice stock, tactical scope, triple thera band gold bands and a nice trigger system would be cool.
50 pound draw on it and it should produce enough fps for small game/vermin hunting no problem

It'd be a design with a weaver rail for scopes or red dots. The stock would have to be added by the user, but it can be made from a conventional round rod if need be.

The goal is to offer a kit that everybody can turn into a shootable, accurate weapon within an afternoon, without any skills and basic tools only.

I am sure that several craftsmen would very soon offer complete weapons. But it would also make a fine father/son weekend project.

@joerg... you know that video you done with the chinese ball shooting xbows
vs your slingshot xbow?...I have the same chinese made xbow, although slightly different.
It shoots nine 6mm steel balls or three 3 inch bolts at once. It has 3 barrells
and a draw weight of 170 pounds which produces 245 fps with the 268grain (combined) 3 bolt load
and 350 fps with the steel shot. Works great as a xbow shotgun but i don't use it much now because
its too darn heavy 11.3 pound!.... no good for carrying around the field hunting because
of its weight. I will probably use the stock off it for my sling rifle if you make the kits available.
