I drew up some blueprints for the handheld cannon (my own version) some days ago and two days ago I started working on it (I dont have much time every day to spend in the workshop) and this is what I have made so far. <br><br>Trigger Sled<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1710.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1711.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1712.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>As you can see in this picture I made the trigger a bit short. Hopefully it will wotk anyway, but if its to heavy I´ll just saw out a new piece:<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1713.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Also I have drilled the holes for the winch in the "rails". <br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1714.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>As a litte bonus: <br><br>My catchbox<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1715.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>and this is the new shape the "heads" of my homemade "Raptor"-project.<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1716.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Thats all for now. UPDATE: I have sawed out the "frame", (the toilet seat) from some 24 mm multiplex I got from a norweighan friend of my father, built a new trigger (unfortunatly, one of the lock-swingarms broke), added the bar at the back and sawed off the rod for the winch. <br><br>As always, I started/revisited another project before I finished my others, so Im almost finished with my Pump-Action crossbow now. I shortened the barrel a lot, its more like a pistol now. Whats left to do is the "sled" and make it comfortable to hold.

UPDATE: One of the trigger sleds "swing arms" broke during testing. I made some new (longer) out of thinner, but higher quality multiplex. Much more solid now! Also, I sawed out the shoulder rest-part.

UPDATE: I did some file work on the toiletseat and the shoulderrest, attached the shoulder rest to the crossbow and I made the crank-part for the winch. <br><br>This is what it looks like now:<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1822.jpg" border="0" alt="">The toiletseat (which needs some smoothening on the inside to not damage the bands):<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1823.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1824.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1825.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1826.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Hope you like it!

UPDATE: The cannon is know pretty much assembled. All that´s missing is the rope and it should be functional. Then I have to give it a nice finish, and make the carriage. Here are the pics, anyway:<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1827.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1828.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1829.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1830.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1831.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>This is the rope Im going to use. According to the manufacturer its supposed to be able to carry 300 kg, wich is a lot more than the cannon will allow. Do anyone know a good knot how to knot it to a karabiner, and to the winch rod?<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1832.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Thats it for today. Thanks for watching. Thanks and bye-bye!

you could just use an 8 loop for attaching it to a carrabiner, for the winch a constrictor knot could work

An 8-loop, great idea. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"> But a constrictorknot wont work for the winch. The rope will just remain in its original position instead of twisting itself around the rod. I have to drill ahole trough the rod and then knot the rope, but Im afraid a regular knot will un-tie itself...

Wouldn't't drilling a hole make it weak?

Yes, if I drill it in the middle. but I think if I drill the hole to the far left/right it wont be a problem.

<div>Why do you don´t take a screw and fix the rope at the screw so al problems are ending. i Think at a O---- looking screw.</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">
