What to use?

    So I plan on maiming some micarta and need a core for a sling and was wondering what I should use to glue acrylic to aluminum and aluminum to micarta. epoxy?

    Best word on that is Nathans vid on bonding dissimilar materials.

    Just get gflex and follow the directions, that's what Nathan's vid is, a step by step translation of the brochure with nice visual ques. Remember, the abrade through wet epoxy part is absolutely necessary.

    +1 for G-Flex, awesome stuff. and as Dolo said 'abrade through wet epoxy is absolutley neccessary' Nathan covers that in his video

    I know to do wet abbrasion it's just that g flex is very expensive, I'm wondering if regular epoxy would work, 2 ton?

    Probably will work, but not as well. Gflex is not as rigid as regular 2 ton, absorbs shock better. 2 ton should be OK until a fork hit or other trauma.
