what kind of wood

    hi guys i am new to the slingshot forum and i am wondering what kind of wood to use to make a slingshot that can put up with allot of abuse

    Use quality plywood (marine of furniture grade types work fine).<br>

    i use multiplex/quality plywood and beech, oak, taxus and other natural forks

    So i could not use a hard wood like solid maple?<br>

    in a board only, it is kind of dangerous, it may split along the grain, i've used some solid tropical hardwood board so it does work, but is is safer to, when using a solid board, glue a piece of metal or multiplex in between.<br><br>in a fork tho it is safe, the grain there runs along most of the frame and this'll give a strong slingshot
