I knocked these two out today and thought I'd share. The first was cut out from a cypress knee. This stuff is really light but I'm pleased with the final product. The second is from a natural fork I found laying in the woods and couldn't pass it up. I'm not sure if it's oak or hickory but it had some spalting so I went with it. It has a slight turn in the handle but I carved it down to fit my hand just right. The handle was a tad short so I added a walnut buttcap to fix it up. But are finished with CA glue

    Okay.....you got me!
I've been thinking about grain structure and figured a cypress knee would have some interesting character. The stuff is soft though, very easy to work. That was nice thoug, it cut down my sanding time. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it.
