So this has literally kept me up this night, what do you think of this plate attachment method in conjunction with through the fork shooting style?

Be honest, I have done this image in 20mins.

    Sure, why not!
I don't think you need the fork that deep, if you don't want it like that( if you drew it like that for screw mounting).
I don't think I'd use screws. After a few loosen/tighten cycles they'll get loose, if the fork is wood. You could either go with screw-in threaded bolt sleeves or go with through holes and nuts, but that's a bit finicky and not very tidy. You could drill holes in the fork and epoxy on threaded stems. Slide on the alum. plates and use wing nuts to tighten.
Make sure you soften all the corners/edges of the alum. so they don't cut your rubber on draw, fire and/or back slap.

  3. better outside the aluminum hold mount plate by the tilt of the tape to the two outer edges, the danger is reduced tear!

Googel translator Thanks!

like the clip here?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaIIOh_Ug50

besser aussen die Alu halte platte anbringen, durch das umlegen der Bänder um die beiden Aussenkanten, verringert sich die abreiss gefahr!

Dank googel übersetzer!

    Hi CEZ,
My thought of this is,the clamping of the TB will give some stress to the band. If you tight the crews to much it will damage the bands.
I´m not a friend of this.
But it´s only my thought.

I think it´s the same way jörg used for his canon and hrawk for his MBBS shooters...never heard of it weaken the bands...you could put a piece of leather or additional rubber under the aluminum anyway if you are afraid.

i don't see a problem, some extra rubber will prevent damage to your bands

With a piece of leather it will be ok. But you have to watch the bands.Maybe it´s a little bit slippery.
Especially with Alu.

Thanks, I think the bands will break at least 2 times at the pouch before the fork attachment anyway, I'm use to that:)
I'm more concerned if they wont slip out, I had a similar attachment at my crossbow and it happened. Damn it hurt!
