As much as I like Over The Top slingshots, I recently noticed that Through The Fork means longer band life and also fewer handslaps.

Therefore I made a Rambone today from leftover multiplex and some burlwood from the junk pile (it looks nice but has many voids).

Looks a bit odd, but I am looking forward shooting with it! Will band it up now.

Great design. For something made out of "leftover" wood "from the junk pile," that's a slick design and the burl wood gives it an extraordinary appearance.

    Looking good and definetly "ramlike".
Is there a special reason for turning the fork inwards?
An outside attachement would also allow TTF shooting but it would be easier to tie the bands onto that or not?

For some reason, I am less accurate with outside TTF attachments - and the bands certainly suffer from the contact with the fork. I also like the clean flight pass of the bands you get with inside TTF attachments.

Maybe it is just a psychological issue!

This “experiment” looks really cool. Like the design very much. Do not be angry if I like the TTF binding more, then the OTT binding at the Rambone…

Do you thing, aiming is possible, because binding is on the inside of the Fork?
Certainly looks much better than outside the Forks.

TTF is a huge advantage against Handslaps, shooting a lot at the moment, unfortunately I need to (painful) notice this… :(

I only use soft leather for OTT that helps a little.

Well, even if it´s like that, if the result is satisfiing everything is fine.
Really looking forward to the outcome...without experiments it´s hard to improve things.

I don´t know why, but i think i have seen such a TTF shooter from you before...i may be wrong since you made so many slingshots...wasn´t it a model with smaller movable swingarms?

Another classic from the master! I like this modified design. I'll be looking forward to seeing it throw some lead downrange.

Hey, that's great, I've been thinking of a TTF design myself some time now!
    Cool slingshot, very unusual.

    Promising :)

There's also a nice possibility to create a tube mount. It's perfectly placed in the form, just have to find a balance between wrapping for bands and the slice for tube insertion.

Maybe a larger tip for setup with wider TTF target bands?

For me TTF was a bit "complicated" almost always aligning the bands after shooting, but definitely a fine solution for better accuracy.

Don't forget to mention... NICEEEE woodwork as always.

Please let us know how it works :)

I made several inside TTFs... the spiky combat slingshot...

    ...the SlingTaurus...

Bands last very long on every one.

Hey, that ballista idea has some potential, that could be a way to speed up my monster slingshot yet even more;)
Are those swinging arms in optimal position now or would you change them looking back at this project?
