Good shooting my friend !!! you did it just in time before I leave tomorrow morning ... thanks for sharing ...
<div>Great shooting! I need to learn butterfly next, I think. </div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div"> <br>"non impediti ratione cogitationis" <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" longdesc="15"> </div>
Impressive shooting!!! <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" longdesc="5"><br>1/14 would be " not bad" in my case. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_redface.gif" alt="Embarassed" longdesc="10">
Nice shooting.<br><table width="90%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="center"> <tr><td><span class="genmed"><b>CEZ wrote:</b></span></td></tr> <tr><td class="quote">Yep, it can be pretty accurate. The problem is when I switch between slingshots</td></tr> </table> <span class="postbody"><br>Same here.</span>
<div>Saderath, do you have any tips for aiming in the butterfly style, or does it feel the same as normal shooting? </div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div"> <br>"non impediti ratione cogitationis" <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" longdesc="15"> </div>
For me Butterfly shooting is normal! <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Very Happy" longdesc="1"><br><br>The only thing different is the pouch grip from thumb up to thumb down the transition takes time to kick in and with practice will feel normal. All the other aiming points are just the same. Also you should watch out your wrist in cooperation with our grip because it tends cant the pouch it not being at a 360 degree, you will have to find that sweet spot. I hope this helps!
I recently cut bands for my slingshot that turned out a little long and because of that I decided to give the butterly style (well, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 butterfly actually) a try. I was prepared to sacrifice some precision (and I am not a good shooter to begin with ...) for more speed out of curiosity. <br><br>I was extremely surprised to find out that after just a fews shots I was shooting MORE precisely in the butterfly style than with my normal style (anchoring thumb joint at earlobe)!!! I use instinctive shooting technique for elevation but I aim with the top band for azimuth (Bill Hays fashion) and somehow I could aim a lot better when shooting butterfly! In addition the higher velocity of the ammo resulted in a lower trajectory which decreased elevation errors.<br><br>If you have never tried out butterfly I can only recommend that you give it a try. I am going tu use up my old bands shooting nomrla style but from the on it will be only butterfly style for me.
