Almost every day another latex "exercise band, fitness band, yoga band, wellness band ect. pops up on the market. Almost every sports store or even the super market has one of them. Did somebody try those?

Is Thera band still the best?

Yes, I mean other brands. There are so many out there now. Just google fitnessbands or exercise bands. You will come up with many many options.

That's why I wonder if Thera band has a real competitor or if it is still the best elastic for our slingshots?

I use Kettler Latex Flexiband. They make 2 different kind, green and purple. The green is medium, purple is strong. The green is " strechable" like TBBlack i think but it is thicker. The purple streches like TBSilver but thicker too. I like them but i never had TBGold to compare it with the stronger i use( purple) . I think TB are better.

    I have recently bought this
I'm in the middle of moving to a new place but I will test for sure. It's 1/3 cheaper than TBG, would be nice if it turned out close in performance as I use a lot of the stretchy stuff:).

I've tested intensively CANDO brand, my opinion is that are faster than TBG same setup (+- 20% more), lasts about the same 200-600 shoots, a big difference is that don't tear, suddenly rips (near the pouch, no warnings, caution!!!), another difference is that is less elastic (stiffer) only 4.5 vs 5.5 TBG and a little thicker ... for less the halve price for me sure it worth ...

I can't fined the Cando brand in Poland but I have made use of the oppa bands, they are more stiff and handslap me crazy, maybe I used too much? They are the same thickness as Thera band black but definitely have a stronger pull.
Not really sure if more powerful.

the only way to know is with a crony or audio analysis to compare both setups, the handslaps and the pull are not indicative of retraction speed ...
