A huge guava fork. 3 months of work. Inspirations on the "haresplitter" from Nathan and the "hand howitzer" from Joerg. all the bones aligned to shoot!
    Lots and lots of sandpaper......

Named in honnor of a brazilian army tank (the URUTU, that has this name because of a brazilian snake...)

Lineseed oil finish, raw, as Dolomite said, reveals the real beauty of the grain.

Your choice, hammergrip, fingerthumb or pinchgrip. Feels powerfull in the hand.......

Now I have a lot of bandsets to cut. Enjoy, my friends!

    BV get yourself some help!

Do you encounter a push from that bug?

    Do you see forks everywhere?

    Watch your elbow ;)

This is obviously another example of
a severe attack of the slinbug!- It controlls
your mind!- makes you craft all those beautiful slingies!!!!

I will help you out!- But wait a minute, wasn´t there some fork
in the corner over there?- I´ll be back in a mi

Wow, that is a big shooter BV! Man, you've been a busy little surgeon lately, haven't you ;) I love the design, but I really love the grain of the wood. Sometimes simple is better. Let Mother Nature do all the talking. Great work.

Guaca wood is amazing, but you have to get the really thick forks and go inside the core! Dolomite has a huge one I've sent.

Wait for me!!! don't be greedy, leave some forks for me!

The magic of vacation....2 days free on a week....this is just the beggining!:D
Look for the "haresplitter" on the simple-shot website...its just like it, but a little less angle!

Although I like the form of the OLECRANUM very much, this one is my favorite. This is due to the wood itself- I absolutely LOVE the character of the grain. Unlike the rather boring woods of the US, the sworls and knots of this fork are simply beautiful... a maelstrom of natural growth and strength. Excellent, Sir!
