I have always longed for a Remington XP-100 pistol chambered in .308. Something about the look of the gun has captured my imagination since I was a boy. Seeing as how I love slingshots more than guns, I just made my own.... Here is the inspiration: and here is the slingshot that came from it: [/IMG] The main body of the slingshot is made from a yellow birch laminate known as SpectraPly- often used in the firearms industry for stocks and grips. The red wood is a stabilized birch lumber product known as DymaLux, very similar to Dymondwood. The forks are made from 3/8" thick G10 and the accents on the arm rest are carbon fiber... why not? The butt cap on the handle is made from honduran rosewood burl. This is one tack driving, hard hitting, can destroying weapon. I couldn't let 2013 pass without putting this idea into reality... now off to punish some aluminum and steel cans! Happy new year to all!!
