I have always longed for a Remington XP-100 pistol chambered in .308. Something about the look of the gun has captured my imagination since I was a boy. Seeing as how I love slingshots more than guns, I just made my own....

    Here is the inspiration:

and here is the slingshot that came from it:

The main body of the slingshot is made from a yellow birch laminate known as SpectraPly- often used in the firearms industry for stocks and grips. The red wood is a stabilized birch lumber product known as DymaLux, very similar to Dymondwood. The forks are made from 3/8" thick G10 and the accents on the arm rest are carbon fiber... why not? The butt cap on the handle is made from honduran rosewood burl. This is one tack driving, hard hitting, can destroying weapon. I couldn't let 2013 pass without putting this idea into reality... now off to punish some aluminum and steel cans!

    Happy new year to all!!

That is genuinely beautiful. Both as a slingshot and an object d'art.

Hyperbole is spouted a lot online but that truly is a fantastic piece of work.

  3. That must be the best starship that I have ever seen!
What type of ply wood did u use because it looks much better than the regular birch multiplex stuff that I have!
Is there any on the simple shot website

That is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic work, as always. I hope to see a video on your channel with you shooting this beauty.

That is truly a work of art, as well as a B.A. shooter. I am humbled just looking at it.

This is a truly gorgeous piece of art. While it looks like a hell of a shooter, I would be extremely nervous to shoot with it for fear of scratching it.

Great Job! Beautiful work of art. Have you banded it up yet? If so, how did it shoot?

Hmmm... I noticed that you failed to stencil, 'NCC 1701' on the nacelles. Pity.

You always bring slingshot to another level, but never lose your own style. The recognition value on this is very high.

That's fantastic and inspiring work at the same time.

A hybrid “Hare splitter-Gunstock-Starship-mix” - Simply love it!

BREATHTAKING! It looks so super sleek and fast just sitting at idle! It would be great if you shoot a video with this beautiful beast in action!
