The prosthesis

    This is what i was working on, you can see the making off <a href="http://theslingshotforum.forumotion.com/t2002-do-you-do-it-the-same-way" class="postlink">HERE</a>. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" longdesc="15"><br>It is a natural i tried to make some time ago and again it cracked when drying.     I don' t know what wood it is( i know nothing about trees), the tree was half rotten and i took the best fork from it. I can tell you it is light and i think, porous.

    it looks very nice.<br><br>you'll have to buy your microwave a new glass plate or something for christmas.<br><br>with the screw you didn't even have to clamp the layers on, right?

    <span class="postbody"><br><br>I also think it looks like a cherry. I had no problem with drying my cherry fork, so it must be something with the time/power. I dried 60-90 sec with 700W power repeatedly and weighed the fork so I can see the progress. After the weight drops were not so large, I stopped and now it's drying as it is (in a cardbox). It still looses its weight, but quite slowly.<br>I would take 90sec as an inspiration.. I wouldn't let the wood heat up too much, because then I think it will crack.<br><br>Anyway, in this case the crack was a good thing - the result is much better with the prothesis <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"></span>
