Once again, wood meets surgical steel.
My newest creation with clamps for the rubberbands and possibility of exchange the whole fork, leaving the same handle.
It took a lot of strenght to bend the high quality stainless steel. the for is atached with nuts to the handle grip, that has two long screws glued with epoxy bonder.
    Opinions?

    Nice colour of the handle!

    It seems to be powerfull!

Well, I'm lucky to have acess to this kind of stuff. But you have a great and inspiring work. I just finished building another one based on your copper slinshot. Instead of copper, surgical aluminum and steel. But this is for another day.... I like to see all the feedback of each one of my SS.
and this is only my third one.

    Respect.

Actually I was free on the hospital today (patient missed the appointment) and started drawing a new slingshot, that I intend to send you as a gift. So I would like to make a feel questions:

Do you prefer the fingergrip style?
Do you use mostly soft bands or like the heavy (powerful, killer) bands?
Do you use only flat bands?
Have you ever had a steel slingshot? And a Surgical Steel slingshot?:)

    Cheers!

Thank you for your kind words Brazilviking, I would love to see the one you build of my copper one (which was my second). I just have the stuff lying around the house and the cellar.

    Respect to you too.

Well... 1. Question, no more the hammergrip style
    2. Question, I like to shoot heavy bands
    3. Question, yes only flat bands
    4. Question, no never before
    ;)
    I'm just kidding!
But seriously I really like you surgery stuff slingshots. They do look awesome and u won't find it anywhere again probably all around the world.
    U do a great job.

    Keep it up

Maybe we could manage some slingshot exchange. That would be very funny!

I'm not an expert on slingshots, but I have a lot of handcrafting Habilities due to being a reconstructive trauma surgeon.I'm creating a new light design that I believe will be very accurate, so I want to present Arturo, in respect for his awesome marksmanship and more, knows what does he think to make it better.

    Skol!

I would be down for that! I would love to exchange, but i'm really not the best craftsman. As soon as i made one where i can say "ok, that is beautyful" i will come back to you and we change or slingshots ok? besides that u can always look at my thread where i present the once i made and let me know if u want one! ;)

Thank you very much again my friend, answers to your questions,
    1) I prefer fingergrip style (lazy grip or relaxed grip), low profile and narrow fork tips (PFS like) to minimize the force on the pinky finger, tight hammer grip with tall forks makes my hand shake (I am not too strong)
    2) I use single TBG or 0.04" latex bands less than 8 kg pull, I guess, not so strong because I pinch the pouch with my index/thumb fingers (as when you take a cup of tea LOL)
    3) only flats bands OTT
    4) never had a steel frame, once I tried to make one but abandoned the project (lack of appropriate tools)
    Cheers
    Arturo

That is one nice slingshot! I have seen others similar to it and every time I have liked them. Yours looks extremely tough as it is just demanding someone to put on the toughest bands. I really like it!
