"The Olivehammer"

    Did another variation of the Hammerhead design.<br><br>I used an aluminum core, and well matured olive wood. Then I added some dark walnut for the palm swell.<br><br>This came out great! So smooth in the hand. And it smells heavenly like port wine (it is a part of an old barrel) and cold pressed olive oil. I like it a lot.<br><br><br><div style="margin:auto;text-align:center;width:100%">

    Tobias, I made the core at home, from a 5mm aluminum board. Cut it out with a jigsaw, no big deal. Laminating it to the wood is kind of tricky, though - you have to roughen the surfaces well, and you can not apply to much pressure. <br><br>Ditlev1995, yes, some coloring is inevitable. You have to re-sand carefully after the first polishing.

    The olive is beautiful. I guess I need to go talk to the proprietor of the olive grove not far from me.

    Wow! So pretty! <br>Perhaps the biggest (in beauty) I've ever seen; it's my opinion, obviously.<br>I'd love to see in action...
