I had so much leftover plywood from the big projects that I decided to make a small, fun pistol.

Design is pretty standard, but for a more gun like look I turned the three layers of 9mm plywood into a round rod, then attached the handle and trigger guard (made from 18mm plywood).

It shoots pencils (see how nicely the muzzle fits? Epoxy, mixed with sawdust, and an oiled pencil made this work).

I made a "devilled pencil" with a nail. Some string (constrictor knot) stabilizes the tip. Works great!

A fun little toy to play and plink.

This one is a toy, not more. I can shoot indoor ranges, maybe 7 meters. The nail arrow will stick into cardboard, not into wood. Accel length is just 5 cm.

I may double up the rubber, but then I will need a cocking fork to load it.

This is a fun thing to play with in front of the TV.

The rounding was quite easy, I just turned it in the lathe!

This will be really cool with a longer barrel:D

Do you push the string with the pencils?

I looks like a small speargun. Awesome invention.
Do we get the chance to see it in a upcoming video? I think we all want to see it in action.
I wonder if it is smaller than the J.Bond-pistol.
Also, I hope we will see more of that kind of plinkers in near future, because they are really cool. :)

Can't push the string with the pencil, the sear would not engage.

I think this is a bit smaller than the James Bond one. The JB model has a far longer accel range, though, because of the bullpup design. However, this model can tolerate stronger bands.

The true new feature is the lack of a fork. Seems like no fork is needed for such pistols. This opens the door to more very pocketable models.

Have now doubled up the rubber... 8cm of TBG, on each side. This is now a 51lb draw weight. I can still cock it easily, but I made myself a little fork from plywood, saves the finger tips.

It is getting serious now... still a toy, but a bad butt one.
