Looking at my older slingshot homemades, I cant help but think of all the improvements that can be done. It is hard to complete a slingshot for me now that I have been exposed to this effect

For instance, I made a neat metal/wenge combo a few months back, now I have looked at it and decided to reshape it...

By ryanwigglesworth at 2012-04-01

(this slingshot may never be finished )

By ryanwigglesworth at 2012-04-01

It used to be quite square and bulky with only finger groves carved in, at the time I was using only an exacto knife, and had not been exposed to the Jorg influence as much as now, barely really.

Nowadays I find myself experimenting with different finishes and other finishing methods in a vain attempt at replicating something similar to Joergs masterpieces, never really finishing anything, constantly seeing room for improvement. (not to mention buying tools )

Please tell me I'm not the only one...

Has anyone else noticed this problem? The problem of slingshots never truly being done, or at the very least taking a much much finer detailed eye to things as a result of Jorg's videos/work and this community?
I don't think it's a bad thing per se, probly a good thing

Yes. When I quit shooting about a year ago I was working on a homemade rotating prong slingshot that was inspired largely by some of Joerg's work. Since getting back into shooting, I've revisited the project and found all sorts of improvements I could make to it. Not sure when I'll ever finish it now, if ever.
