    Hello slingshot friends!

Today, I've finished a little oak shooter. The palmswell is made of acacia with brass and GuttaGliss spacers. The heart on the frontside is a polymer clay inlay. As I had to grind down a messed up inlay above the heart, the shooter has a quite slim waist. The general optic turned now a bit feminine. Maybe a nice shooter for a slingshot-loving lady... :D

Hope you like it nonetheless. Thanks for watching!

I'm obviously not a woman, but I would like to shoot that slingshot.
I love oak, and the possibility to attach the bands I've always wanted to try.

    great job, I'm excited. :)

Thanks dolomite. Would be great to have more girls joining the hobby!

Thank you AngelicScars! Hey, the slingshot match to the color of your hair :D

    Thanks bigjim!

    Thank you Obelix!

Thanks artons! I didn't had this particular shape in my mind as I started building, but it turned out quite nice and has a good grip!

I am glad to see this for reasons aside from it being a real nice shooter. I found a very nice 34cmX18cmX2 cm oak board that I have been wanting to build with but was worried if it were stout enough to be safe. Seeing yours makes me more confident that it will.
    Thanx

I love it! Shooter with soccer for the lady World Cup fan! I particularly like the joinery you did to build the fork- not a butterfly but some thought went into the grain match. Well done!

Thanks Flipgun! Don't worry about using oak for a frame. I am really confident that it is strong enough.

    :D

Thanks, that is a homemade 7mm mosaic pin. It is my makers mark, a stylized paw.

Thank you Wild Bill. You are right, my makers mark looks a bit like a football. :D

flipgun, oak is nearly bullet proof. Actually 2cm would stop some handgun calibres, build with confidence.

When i read: " Maybe a nice shooter for a slingshot-loving lady.." something strange happened. I can' t tell how or when it happened( i have a black out) but i woke up dressed with a skirt and high heels with lipstick on my face.
    Beautiful work flicks.
I have to try that bands attachment some day.
    Thanks for sharing ;)
