Beginning of this year I found a fork on one of my hiking trips. I put it into the cellar and forgot it. Two weeks ago I did a cleanup and I found it again :D. Inpired by other beautiful naturals shown on this forum, I decided to give em a try. After a lot of rasping and sanding, I've pimped it a bit with ebony forktips, vulcanfiber spacers and a copper lanyard tube. It is finished with BLO and BW. I hope you like it.

I am unsure about the wood. It should be either birch or beech. Any ideas?

Man, another fine piece of craftsmanship. The ebony with the red vulcan fiber looks great against the lighter wood. Well done.

I think its Birch but it can be a bit of a Beech telling them apart;). I love it though.

What a great find, again. I love the color contrast of the woods and the finish. Fantastic work.

Like i already said, this one loks really cool flicks!

Maybe try a natural with tips like those and do an epic inlay that fits the tips colorwise?

How could I miss the find? But at least I found it…:D

Very nice fork and I like your fork tips. A very nice shaped natural and a precise work on the binding grooves.

    Oh, and a nice lanyard hole… ;)

    Thank you!

    Thanks Ghost!

Thanks for the kind words Zwillie!

Glad that you like it! Thanks AS

Thank you Withak (Man, I have to get attuned to you new name ;))

I am tending as well to Birch, Thanks Dolo!

    Thanks my friend!

Thank you Artons. I think you are right with birch!

Thanks for the kind feedback, Jeremy!

    Thank you!

    Thanks onnod

Thanks Fligun, I thought as well about a matching buttcap, but I put the rest of my ebony to the forktips

Thank you Antraxx. I have something similar in mind, not a traditional inlay, but....we will see. At first I have to finish my running project. Not a slingshot but...we will see soon (I hope)...:p

Thank you. That is not colored cardboard but vulcan fiber.

Thanks slingpit. Don't worry about late comments, we are not on the run ;)

Thanks Snader! Glad that you like it!
