@ Drachentoeter: I have never buy something for making slingshots, just the sand papper, epoxy, super glue and a bottle of linseed oil i got from more than 1 year.;)

@TP: I used a jigsaw for the oak( biggest parts).

Thanks you for the nice comments.;)

What a great idea! That two piece, slotted core is genius! No welding required and think of the strength! I'm eager to see this baby completed. Nice work, very nice!

This looks like a very good work and slingshot.
I like the materials, the way they are connected,
and how effective you work with the resources that you are available. :)

I could not do better, I'm looking forward to the result.

Oh yeah! Loving this build already! It's crazy how you only work by hand though man..! Very true though that the blood, sweat, tears, blisters etc. just instills that much more "life" or "Spirit" to the end result! This will be sweet

Way to cool tokSick, can't wait to see it finished! Seeing all these great looking slings on this forum makes me want to try building one of my own. I am not there yet but someday!

Nice one and good idea with that double core.
Do you plan to fill the 4 "edges" too?
    Maybe with darker wood?
