This is my latest homemade slingshot. It is an Egyptian theme slingshot that I made out of brass. The handle scales are ebony and they are removable. The glass element is my interpretation of a scarab beetle. I fuse several layers of different colored glass in my glass kiln for that. The metal surface is texture with ornamental cutting equipment. The base is African blackwood. I hope you enjoy it.

You have the great machine with wich you make the rose pattern.. you have a friggin glass kiln... lmao Am I jelly or what... The scarab is very pretty

I would be very very very very happy to hold this once. If it was mine forever I would die of starvation because I would spend all day shooting it with balls I spent all my money for.

EDIT: Is the boy king a reference to Alchymist from Coelho ?

Just simply an amazing piece of work. You mention that you used "ornamental cutting equipment" on the brass. What exactly is that? Do you have any photos? I'd love to see the process involved in such intricate detail. Flawless. Really great. I love the glass work too. My mother used to to a lot of custom glass bead work, fusing, etc. I just love how that looks.

Did you also design a custom display pedestal for it? I have to ask because the slingshot fits so perfectly on there for display purposes.
