This Cedar fork had some superficial splits when I found it peeled and dry. I kept it anyway and decided to add some more splits with my little V gouge. One thing led to another and I think it turned out "groovy"!

When everyone goes for smooth, smooth, smooth this stands out! Groovy as a vinyl record!

That is beautiful wood. I've been wondering if theres cedar thats hard, all of the cedar near me is super soft and looks bland. Do you know the breed? I like the grooves as well.

Looks a bit like it shrunk and pulled the outside in. Looks really interesting.

I don't know the particular species but it is native to Wisconsin and Minnesota. It's never all red except for the heartwood. The veins surface here and there on branches. It's very weather resistant but splits easily and straight. Only a substantial fork can be trusted.

Hard to believe it is made out of wood, you made it look like antler. Wow!
