On one of my usual stumbles through eBay I came across the firearm accessories and spotted two items that immediately spoke to me.

After a couple of modifications, adding some d-Shackles and banding it up with a set of Dankung 17*45 bands, it now looks like this.

Bad ass! Had a similar idea but didn't think it would work as I didn't think of using the shackles. glad it worked for you.

the shackles were a last minute idea when I was in the hardware store this morning actually, I had intended to cut slots to slip the band into the holes, but realised this would be easier and safer.

That's a great idea, I may just have to make one myself. It would be cool if you could also add a side pic mount for attaching to a quad side rail on an AR. Then you've got a tactical light plus a quick demountable back up weapon. Very cool creation

With the variety of picatinny attachments out there I'm sure its possible, not much call for it down here though our gun laws are crazy restricted.

Looks good if you can justify $60, I found some other ones that had both a flashlight and Laser sight built in but they were nearly $100.

Thanks flipgun, It was just something different to try, too expensive to do more than once I think especially as things like this from china tend not to get much further than customs.

    Simple

    Nice and simple,
    simply nice! :)

(would it make sense to turn
    that "V" holding the shackles
180° ?- bands might last longer..?)

But , as I said: Nice shooter!

    Greetings,

    Be

@ Antraxx.. Thanks man, nowhere near as nice as your little beauties though :)

@ BeMahoney.. Thanks Be, I have spun it around now so the round corner faces the bands/ I'm not sure if that's what you meant or not but I can see the bands lasting longer that way

Well I'm a bit disappointed now, I showed a friend of mine this slingshot and they just sent me a link to the EDCForums. seems I was a month too late to be original

On the positive side though I now have a good use for the AR quadrail I have in my junk tub

@ BrazilViking.. "The SWAT slingshot!" I like it a lot, would it be wrong to shorten it to 'The SWATShot'?

@ AngelicScars.. Thanks AS, It might not be as original as I once thought, but it is different and I don't mind being a little different :D

    @ Otees.. Thanks man!
