    Greetings,

I made this frame over the past week, and finally managed to finish the frame today. This particular frame was an experimental one, i tried removable scales and new materials for the first time and it worked out great.

    Specs
    Frame - DKC Ergo
    Length - 158mm
    width - 85mm
    Shooting Gap - 41mm
    Stock thickness - 8mm
    Material - 6061 T6 aluminum
    Laminate - Coyote Brown Boltaron
Scales - 6.35mm CE Phenolic Composite
Hardware - 6.35mm standoffs, 6-32 stainless steel hex screws.
    Finish - Scotchbrite Satin

I think thats about it ? ... hopefully the pictures will tell rest of the specs.

    Hi Danny,

You made my day with this post! This frame is so balanced, peaceful and exciting at the same time. Like the constructed and solid mixture. I'm sure that surface gives an excellent grip. With those radiuses at the handle it feels much thinner than it is. Thanks for the measure picture.

Hope more beauties are coming from you!
Have a nice day mate :)

[IMG] Outstanding craftsmanship, Danny! Always very beautiful. Very professional.

That combo just seems to rock. At first glance, I thought you were experimenting with some type of synthetic leather. The Boltaron looks very smooth and elegant with the Micarta scales. Excellent balance composition. And as always, beautiful job with the metal finish.

BTW, I love the idea of removable scales. This could solve my dilemma when I'm trying to match my slingshots with shoes and accessories. Thanks for that inspiring idea :p

That's a beautiful piece of work, the lines, the patterns, the finish, all come together very well. Nicely done.

You made my day the second time… :)seen your new slingshot yesterday and I was overwhelmed.
Reading your Post here today makes me again very happy.

If I may allow to remark, your work is better times to times, you craftsmanship and execution has always been incomparably.
But now I see many more developments in “formal detail”, some remind me of the art of making good handles for knives.
(Approximately 80% of all knife handle scales are bad or inconsequential)

Every detail, the selection of the material, the thickness, the arrangement. Makes the overall picture this wonderful slingshot.
What I want to say you've reached almost 99% of feasibility creating an object, you hit the target with this one.

There are only a handful of people who can build something like this and you definitely belong to them.
Your slingshots are unique and have a high recognition value, please don’t change this.

I am curious if you will reach 100 % sometime, and if so, I won’t tell you, because I am afraid you stop building slingshots…:p

This looks fantastic! Im not sure if its the colour or the material but it looks how I would imagine a 1970s Bakerlite slingshot would look! Great workmanship.
