    Hello:)

    I made it from styphnolobium japonicum branch.
    Ammonia fuming, so it become darker.

    Well talk about a high polish job. Was it hard to get the cat to polish it for you?

    Awesome slingshot, Genchik. I love the black lozenge knot and the grain in general. Nice work.

    Apparently this wood (Enju, or "Pagoda Tree") is great for adze handles (and therefore presumably also slingshots):

    But it also seems to attract demons! Don't build a house with it!

    Yes, it great wood, one of my favorite. It very hardness and beautiful.

    Nice natural, it's great that you can get with fuming the same results as with the steelwool and vinegar solution but with more control over the results. I read that depending on the expose time to the ammonia fumes you get different results.

    My mother has a cat like yours, I called her Jessica, but now she's pretty old and grumpy.
