This is my freshest build. The second Lobster design slingshot, downscaled to 90%. It's a birthday present for my best friend. And he is a huge fan of the German football (Americans: NO handegg! ) club FC St. Pauli. Their colours are brown and white, hence the logo and colours of the shooter.

It's a white corian core with brownish kirinite and two sorts of dark brown wood. I am not 100% sure, but it should be grenadill and moor oak.

Dry-sanded to 800 grit, wet-sanded to 3000. In. Hours. And. Hours. I hate sanding, the inventor of sandpaper, his family, parents, grand parents, uber grand parents and all in his line back to Adam and Eve! The wooden parts are Tru-oiled for additional protection.

Thank you! Yep, I really am. It's the first time I really had the patience to sand and sand and sand and sand and sand. I had to. Kirinite looks horrible if you don't polish it to death! F*cking expensive, but awsome material!

Thanks a lot. The first 5 pics are originall shot in 4k2k, the building pics are just done with the smartphone cam.
Kirinite is some awsome stuff to work with. Amazing colours and patterns available. It's some compressed plastics stuff with resin components and can easily be worked with any woodwoorking tools. The only problem with this stuff is: its about 850-1000€ per m² !!! That's why it is mainly used to make knive handles and come in really small sizes at 120x40mm! :/
