OK, as I mentioned before I want to make some more slingshot attachments for my M16A1. Next, I want to mount a knife launcher underneath the barrel. Cold Steel sent me some of the new, cool Hide Out knives - lightweight (1.9 oz), but razor sharp and well balanced. http://www.coldsteel.com/Product/49NDE/Hide_Out.aspx I ordered a front stock with a long Picantinny rail, so I can attach the launcher, much like the M203 grenade launcher - longer, of course. and rubber powered. That is why I will call it the SSC203 (SSC = SlingShotChannel). I am very excited about this - feels like a bayonet that you can shoot, too! Too make it even cooler, I want to make it a double barrel model. We are having visitors, so this proceeds slower than usual... however, I did invest a couple of hours today. The "barrels" are rails, made from aluminum and a wooden core. They keep the knives 100% straight, which is necessary for a good flight. Magnets hold the knives back in the loaded position. The triggers have my usual top-barrel-first or both-barrels-at-once modes. There is a certain type of aesthetics in two razor sharp blades, on their way to destiny at the same time I will hopefully complete it tomorrow, in time for the video.
