    Well the Arbutus Was found as a fairly hefty chunk and was rasped down to perfection in the hand. Its loosely based on the legendary moor-hammer. <br><br>The Dark Maple was found on a day hike and was harvested in a little gully under a big old maple tree, looks like the huge fallen branch had been there quite some time. Both are only linseed oil bathed so that's there natural look no stain added to modify the color on these beauties.<br><br>Happy New years Sling Shot Channel Forum and hope everyone has a good one.<br><br><a href="http://imgbox.com/acfrVDxm" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/acfrVDxm.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/ady2zGOc" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/ady2zGOc.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/acdJZ946" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/acdJZ946.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/adpvSP3M" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/adpvSP3M.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/aco65tXx" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/aco65tXx.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/acx2Tesq" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/acx2Tesq.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/achfDZ9s" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/achfDZ9s.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a> <a href="http://imgbox.com/ablzvcYB" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://t.imgbox.com/ablzvcYB.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/aczlORhN.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/aczlORhN.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/acfMNYGn.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/acfMNYGn.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/adsCxYZy.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/adsCxYZy.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/abciVW2r.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/abciVW2r.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/adlQgGXQ.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/adlQgGXQ.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/abhAaVVv.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/abhAaVVv.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/acnmVSof.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/acnmVSof.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i.imgbox.com/acw2A4mL.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgbox.com/acw2A4mL.jpg</a>

The Dark Maple is my current natural I am slinging and its great. Have it set up with 5 cm tapered to 3 cm TBG single layer, after a lot of testing I am with Joerg 100% on the TBG its strong and has a long life and you can sling basically anything with them from small to large ammo.<br><br>The arbutus is still drying due to it have a thorough soak in the linseed oil, But when its ready to rumble my brother has 4cm to 1 cm taper band setup for it. <br><br>Thank you all for such kind words, After a lot of hand tool work and no <br>power tools its great to get a positive response. From Victoria B.C. we <br>all wish everyone a happy New Year.!
