Sour cherry natural vs bamboo wood, this one sat on the shelf for 3 months, but last week I had the courage to finish it.

I got the fork a year ago from a friend's garden, it was already dried. I started working on it 3 months ago but I didn't know that to do about the cracks. In the end I went on and filled them with tinted epoxy (blue chalk dust).

As always, I sanded it up to 1200 grit, finished with Danish oil and buffed with beeswax and carnauba wax wood polish.

That is a nice piece of cherry and the bamboo looks awesome... i have got to get me some of that as well someday :)
Beautiful work.
One of the most beautiful wood species that I have worked with, but also, one of the most prone to cracking and checking. :-(
