    Hello friends![IMG]

This week I've tried to clean up my studio. I found a small fork that I've harvested beginning of this year. It was quite small so I wanted to throw it away and put it into the garbage can. What can I say - 5 minutes later I had it again in my hand and started with the carving.

And that is the result. I wanted to try the paper micarta lamination on a natural. I don't know what kind of wood that is, but after a lineseed bath it was still palish so it reminds me on the tale of brothers Grimm.
    I hope you like it!

That is amazing! What wood is that? Also how do you put that paper micarta lamination, it really brings the wood to life!

Another beauty Flicks! I love that red interlaced with the ghostly white wood - seems almost like blood ready to come out from some pale flesh. What are you using to make these cuts - a scroll saw? band saw? It would have to be something, I imagine, with a rather small blade and something that allows you to be fairly precise. The micarta turned out really nice. Great work.

Thanks KW. That is paper cardboard, soaked with epoxy and laminated between the parts. I dont know what wood it is. Any ideas?

    Thanks Tilia!

    Thanks you MS!

    Thank you AS!

    Thanks a lot mate!

Thanks friend . I would rather go with the SW and RR picture - just to avoid any nightmates:eek:

    Thank you zurdo!

Thank you Withak. I've used a scrollsaw. The blade is approx. 0,8 mm thick.

    Thank you Jeremy!

Thanks Antraxx. Right, it looks like candy but the taste is quite different. After the sanding I had a slight wooden taste in my mouth...:D

Ich kann auch nix dafür - das ist wie ein innerer Zwang...
Thank you very much! The next one will follow - Be sure!

Sorry, hope it is a waterproof keyboard. Thanks my friend! A candy slingshot - Hm...nice idea for the receipt collection of our forum cookbook;)

    Thank you Onnod!
