just wondering, you used kind of big bullets there what if you use a bit smaller ammo
maybe the penetration would increase , just guessing

I tested this with pig's ear, complete with skin. Indeed the 9mm lead balls had the best penetration.

I'm wondering why the penetration and damage seems less with the pig parts than on the leg of lamb. Is pigskin that tough?

Would be interesting to try this with the leg of lamb, but with blue jeans on it. If you have an old ripped up pair of Levis or something, take part of it and 'dress' the leg of lamb. Then try with various calibers of lead ball, steel ball, and perhaps those steel cubes and 'spiky' steel cubes you've used in other vids. Maybe even try ruthixxx's rebar idea - and find out which provides the best penetration through the denim.

aww wow that looks very very painful if that were to hit someone. I would think it would go and crack the skull it it where to hit you in the head. Also it looks like your firing huge steel balls at the pig and it pierced the skin ouch.

made me hungry and wanting to shoot at the same time...do you have any videos of slingshot vs. pig head.

I would be interested in that, I often go walking the woods here in central Florida USA...hogs are abundent and pandemic here in the US.

I see them often, and only got charged once. Sometimes my only defense is my slingshot...was not into it when I did get charged, but a quick tree climb, it went away.

in the mean time .357 mag.

Not a fan of sport killing as recreation. But respectful hunting is OK by me, and indeed wild boar are becoming a problem in the southern USA. And there is no meat tastier than wild boar when the wild berries are ripening.

No slingshot stands a chance against an angry wild boar. Hide is too thick, the skull is too dense and tough.

Stick to a gun unless you're just trying to make them mad.
