I am now making a speed of 25 - 32 m/s , check by the detector of a mic.

idk if it is accurate enough, but I would like to know the speed of your slingshots and make a statistic. thank you!

What rubber are you using ... dimensions, draw length, ammo weight ?

Mine, about 160-180 fps, i think could be more or less, it also depends on temperature

    whit the Audacity crony I am about 66m/s ~200fps ... I am intrigued by your speed ... it's rather low (25-32m/s) ???

From 55mps with my PFS (18cm of TBG, 5,5g marbles) shot from the height of my ear to 75mps with my dankung tubes setup shot half-albatros style (24cm of half-looped 2050 dankung tubes). And everything in between which I haven't measured.
What do you use?

I dun know if the speed is accurate enough as I use the method here:
check the time duration of two peaks and use the range of shooting to divide this number.

I will us a better detector later on . the band I use now is latex 2.0mm 5.5mm single or double band

2mm thick bands? That might be an issue.

I made another check today, with the 6.4 gram steel ball in rubber tubing ammo 14 mm diameter ( I dun wanna break anything).

with the range of 5.7 meter and time of about 0.12 second. after calculation it is about 47 m/s.

I also use an audio chrony, it's pretty reliable. One thing I think is useful in the audio chrony is to use food wrap on a picture frame instead of paper so you can see what you are shooting.
I tend not to use all the possible force of the slingshot when I use the paper, the clear plastic wrap gives me more confidence that I won't shoot a wall:p
47 m/s is not much with that ammo, what length is your rubber?

I live in a flat so I choose to shoot at the wall in the corridor outside the flat and use a recorder to check two peaks.
The band extend from 23cm to about 96 cm long

Those numbers mean only 417% elongation, that is very little. Speed begins at over 500%

Yes, you could shorten them for more speed or pull them back further.
