I was cleaning out a friends shed and came across a single crutch. He was letting most old tools and stuff go so I asked if I could have it. I saw a video from Bill Hayes where he made a simple Slingshot Rifle out of conduit and I was on my way to the store to buy some pipe when I remembered I had that crutch. It is strong and very lightweight aluminum. It was built for someone who was 6'4 but was adjustable even taller. So far I have just done some cutting and ziptied and taped a temporary fork to the end. I need the toggle clamps but thats about it. Here is the beginning picture

Very good idea! This crutch seems to be an excellent frame - for free. Are you going to add a trigger mechanism or do you attempt to fire "manually"?

i like the forward facing forks, i've mounted my DanKun luck ring to a stick a few times and had good results with that- shooting arrows too using barnet tubes

The rubber underarm piece fits perfectly on your shoulder. The handle was adjusted to the highest setting and the toggle clamp(trigger) will go right in front on it. Watch the Bill Hayes Slinhshot rifle vid on YouTube to see how it works. You look right down the top pipe and it lines up perfectly.

Getting the plastic pieces off the bottom and cutting the metal fasteners were the only tough part. When I get time I'll post my progress and test it.

Looks good, now all you need is a toggle clamp, a rail on top, and an aimpoint micro... and you've got yourself a sniper slingrifle!

Not allowed to post links, but the title you're looking for on youtube is: Awesome slingshot rifle shooting, slingrifle is super simple and super accurate for DIY

And another that actually looks kind of like a forearm crutch: Basic Predator Slingrifle, easy DIY, super accurate, very powerful, fast reloading, card cutter!

Sling-rifle! I gotta build one. I wonder how it would do with 20 BB shots. A slingShotgun? Squirrels don't stand a chance. Dove off the wing? It's dove season right now in North Carolina. Thanks guys.

Well, I like to try different ways to cook it, Iv had it boiled, Fried, and baked as a roast would be. Fried or Baked is the best so far, I grandfather tells me squirrel dumplings are good also, and I got the random idea of making some squirrel stir-fry lol. I really just got back into hunting last year so I am excited this year as I have my pellet gun lined up and ready with some good pellets, I am not accurate enough to kill with a slingshot yet. Also would like to make some squirrel pot pie or anything else really I will try it.

I bet you could hit one with a full draw, quad band, slingshot rifle/shotgun. I can't wait to pop a squirrel with one. I kinda like just the legs in the pressure cooker with some BBQ sauce for about 12 min. then stick them in the oven and broil'em till their crispy. 5 minutes on each side. October 15 the season opens. I'll build one by then.

Nice video Bill. Thanks for the heads up.
