i started making a low fork hammergrip slingshot a few hours ago, but i messed up one of the forks. But, the grain of the wood was awesome , so i desided to cut of both forks and keep the handle.I think ill add a metal forks or something like that.I dont know what wood that was, because i didnt cut the fork myself.Maybe someone can help me.it had grey bark, very smooth with almost no knobs. The wood itself was quite fibery (i know this is probably not a real word.),with a citrus-like smell and white color when i began working with it.After an hour or so , it started turning darker and darker, and now , some part of it are black. It may have been a wild lotus tree, that is in the same family as ebony. That would be surely lucky for me....I will post pics in an hour, cause my camera battery is recharging.
