I have always liked my slingshot from BV, the chimera, but it was a little big for an everyday carry. Recently I have gotten into pickle forks. And one day the chimera and my pickle fork were having an affair. The chimera is now having a baby soon. The pickle chimera. I am just wondering what you all thinck of the design. I plan to make it out if Jatoba 1.5 inches thick at the main body, and a 3/4 inch thick palm swell.

Really like that design! Cant wait to see it built, there is something very satisfying with shooting a PFS.

Well I forgot to scallop the fork tips in that template. But I have done it know. I have also decides to make it a mixture of jatoba and zebra wood.

The chimera looks really strange, I love it! What are the forks made from?

BV made the chimera out of wood, and surgical steel. It was part of the global trade mkII.

Hi rock slinger ... maybe our friend BV allows you to do a little modification on his "chimera" slingshot, a 1cm x 8mm gap/cut at the centre, would add another alternative to the versatile design it is yet ...
    Cheers

I meant that it sort of looks like they were something else before they were slingshot forks and if so I was wondering what they were

    Slingsex

    Although it is not SlingPorn,
what we encounter here clearly is SlingSex!

That gives that whole slingalistic realm a new
    dimension!

To maintain controll of the process in a whole,
I therefor decided to keep those slingshots in
    seperate single-sex cartons now...

    You never know!

Ok guys I thinck this is the best one that I have made, but the deseign needs some improving. Made from 1 inch mahogany, and 3/4 inch jatoba for the palm swell. Next one should be the finale then I will cast it in aluminum. My dad has finally broke after the green sand casting video.
