Today is my final day. I shot in the morning and while it was okay I wanted to finish on a better note. So I came out again this afternoon: B:1 H:16 G:0 M:3 85% Fairly uniform spread. Can’t say I’m grouping anywhere. I’m just putting it down to inconsistent pouch grip and release. But hey! Who’d have thought I’d be popping cds at 10 metres? Drop the macho bands. Practise. Read / watch videos about technique etc. Be confident.
I was planning to cut a can at ten metres. But instead I kept missing. And missing and missing. I’m rubbish thought I then remembered “Confidence is everything.” So I got in to about three metres and backed off with every hit. And I hit every time and made it to ten metres wondering what the problem was.
Noticing a few bulls creeping in there. I’m still looking for a strong, comfortable pouch release with no speed bumps. Just messing about at the moment. Rain nearly stopped play in the morning and cold in the afternoon. Took to shooting a leaf when there wasn’t enough paper to see where the shots went. Just wish I could get a comfortable release.
1. Bit sore but no speed bump. Bit awkward to position. 2. If fingers more flexible this works quite well. 3. Speed bump. Nearly always. 4. Bit of a weak grip.
just haven't shot it that much. been kind of an enigma, one day great, most days not so great. got 3 bulls with it once, but have since not been able to replicate.
Can understand the exasperation. Ever since I started to try to improve my release I’ve taken a few steps back. The trouble with sitting the ball on the bone is it’s quite sore and due to reduced dexterity in my hand the ideal position isn’t always easy to get. At least I’m not hitting down and to the right because of speed bumps. This cleared up a lot of theory.
today. this one's been on my ebay watchlist for some time. the price came down, i offered. they counteroffered and badda bing, badda boom, it's here today.
