Much happier today. Kept unnecessary movements to a minimum. Aimed and released without thinking too much.

2040s came today. Thought I’d tied the loops a bit short but hey:

    80% at 10 metres!
May be another fluke but I’m jumpin’.

All along I’ve just wrestled with macho bands. Or didn’t want to fork out for new tubing when I hadn’t used up the old. I’m now curious. How consistent will this be?

Thanks Hoggy. With these new tubes I’m floating.

Looking good so far. Another 80%. 10 metres. What looks like ammo punctures in the photo is sometimes rain drops.

Im going to have to be patient now I have a better elastic and ammo combination. First response was to go to 20 metres and see how it was for longer shots. (Hit the paper). Consolidation and consistency first.

Hit a can at 15 metres first shot. Just need to get my pouch grip sorted. I am getting a bit sore and so change the grip frequently. Obviously not the best for consistency.

The first target was a bit more hit and miss. But with this I’m happy. 2040s have been great looped with 9.5mm steel and a tiny pouch. Can’t stick anything else in the pouch but with this sort of result I’m not complaining and I’ve still got four days to go.

that's some good shooting. you have many more shots in the center. i on the other hand, have the exact opposite, many more all around.

It’s now the pouch grip which needs to settle down. To avoid the ammo jumping over a bone on release (speed bumps) I’m experimenting with gripping between the thumb and the index finger (between knuckle and first joint).

Today was a bit cold and damp which reduced speed of shot and made for a less relaxed release.

Ignored the rain and it lifted anyway. Couldn’t find one of the hits early on and when I had a closer look it was smack on the bull. It’s gone 75/80/75/80% so I’m hoping to get to 80 consistently.
