hi, my name is Itay (pronounced: E-TA-E). I'm following Joerg's youtube channel for some time. Just wanted to say that your inventions are awesome!!! I don't have the time to tray and built sling shots but i like to watch your channel. Hopefully i will have more time in the future. Congrats on the new website and forum. I will tray to be active as much as i can. To Joerg: You certainly bring progress to this field and i think everyone here are proud to be your fans. tnx dud, but Salam Alikum is the Arabic greeting. We use "Shalom" or "Bruchim Ha Baim". You can see that Shalom and Salam are close, yet i prefer Shalom (as it was written in the old testament) <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Very Happy" longdesc="1">

What exactly does Shalom mean? Just hello? Although Salam Alikum is used as a greeting, it means Peace of God be upon you, or may peace be upon you. Hence why I use it. I seek to wish the peace of God upon you.

Salam Alikum is in Arabik. Indeed, Salam means peace and Alikum - upon you. two words. I'm not Arabic. my native tongue is Hebrew. We use Shalom: hello, peace. Any way, thank you for your greetings.

So you learned the language of the land then? Correcting me on my Arabic, I can only assume you get much experience from the native population in how to speak proper Arabic <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" longdesc="15"> Personally I don't speak the Native American languages of the indigenous peoples we conquered when we took our homeland... But hey to each his own! Good effort!

Arabic is not, i repeat, not the native language of Israel. They are not natives. Arabs occupied Israel during the Middle Ages. It's an historic fact! The Jewish people lived in Israel seance the ancient times and was exiled by the Romans. We came back during the 19th century.

Dud were do you come off? beside the fact that there was a continues Jewish settlement in Israel during the last 2,000 years i don't see any problem with Jews returning to there fatherland. The coming back of in the late 19th century was to a place that was occupied by few villages. Israel today is an urban society and dos not sit on any occupied land. I invite you with all of my heart to Israel, To see with your own eyes that we, the Jewish people live honest life on our fatherland. Inshallah dos not impress me due to the fact that I don't believe in Allah, i believe in man. i don't know what is your heritage, but i don't wish you to be in my place. my family survived the holocaust and today the world dos not legitimize our right to live as a free nation in our country. I assume that if you never had to experienced oppression you will never understand. and don't say that we oppress the Arabs. in 1947 the UN offered to divide Israel into two states, and the Arabs refuse by believing they can continue were Hitler stopped. We offered peace they offered a sword. ever seance we tray to protect oneself and in the same time reach out our and in peace. please if you are so sure in your self plan your next trip to my country. i will be happy to show you that Israel is Jewish just as much as it is Arabic if not more.  First I will visit Palestine and Jordan, after that I will visit Israel if I feel the need. But I have problems with how you recently "acquired" it, or "occupied" it... So going there to see how it all looks now 60 years later isn't really in my travel plans.... Canada and other countries where the indigenous people were "occupied" look great now, almost no sign of the past available... Israel is a great place, in terms of patents and industry and tourism, I'm aware... Germany was divided and occupied when I grew up, and it seemed to us that it was just the way it was, for ever. Look at Germany now! There are elected politicians in high offices that were born after the wall came down. I am glad that slingshots know no borders nor religions... did you know that prejudices are for fools only?

 prejudices dos not come from my side. we offer peace and get radical Islamic terror. every few months my city is bombarded by Arab terrorists and my government dos nothing just for the chance to promote a truce. I'm tired of being accused by all of intolerance or occupation. you all tray to live you lives under the on going filling that war is right over the corner. Israel is a democratic state. the only state in the middle east that is clean of prejudice. in my country gays have full rights, women can dress any way they like. on the Palestinian side gays are being executed in the name of religion and women are forced to wear Burka -a full body cloak. I hope that one day, the world will understand that Israeli Jews are not the monsters portrayed by unfair global media. I wish all of you could come and see Israel, a free democratic state. I hope that slingshots will one day replace firearms and we can all just have fun.

 The problem I have is you don't even see how you are prejudiced. It seems to be bred into the children there in your "country"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BwJOehf1Xo). I do agree with one thing you said, the world doesn't recognize Israel's right, Hum du Allah! Please don't take it personal, I just think that you are brainwashed into believing many lies, and if the tides were reversed, ie: you were Palestinian, you would feel completely different... Try to look at things from another perspective maybe, and you will see why people don't acknowledge Israel? Prejudice...
