Hi,
So after seeint the bar fight dominator, I thought i could do the same with some (FAKE) bullets. I think they would be ideal since they are front heavy (All powder removed) and very aerodynamic. At frst I thought I would go with a smaller round like a .223 but then I saw some 50 BMG and i think thats just way more awesome. I am going to make soem sketches tomorrow in school, and put them here afterwards.

Which ammo do you like best?
CHOICES:
http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61431412/Products/30040

http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61431412/Products/30042

My Favorite:
http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61431412/Products/30010

http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61431412/Products/30047

    Very nice idea.
When it works it would be awesome but you will get problems with the pure bullet I think.
Because it won´t fly straight when it does not rotate.

I think might fly straight for the first 5 meters or so, then they will start to tumble. For example Joergs knife-shooter shoots the knifes so fast that they stay stable (for the first ten metres) despite not being front heavy. The same thing should be for the bullets, but they would tumble earlier because the lower momentum.

Just what I thinks. It would be a great project, and it would look cool if you made it with a classical rifle stock, like on a regular breakbarrel air rifle!

Hmm thanks for the input, for it flying straight, well it is front heavy since I guess the actual Bullet is at the tip? Or do you think the casing will be too heavy for the bullet?

you could get it to fly straight if you have some way to make a rifled barrel?? it would be extremely hard to make though and i wouldn't see how it would work with the elastic bands.

The bullet is i think heavy enough to keep it straght, no need for rifled barrels and such

Need some types of fletching or fluf on the rear of the bullets to stabilize them and keep them from tumbling.

In this video, i think Joerg shoots a bullet without casing and it seems to fly straight. Watch at 3:29[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9lJ5FoXrek"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9lJ5FoXrek[/ame]

I use wad cutter bullets as ammo from my traditional style slingshots and they work great, the fact that they tumble in flight seems to stabilize them, and they are awsome when they hit [IMG]
