Raptor X - double string steel ball shooting bow

I reviewed the Raptor bow before. It is (was) a rubber powered bow that shoots steel balls, quite fast actually - almost 150 m/s (about 480 fps) with a 10 mm steel ball.

But the rubber was a weakness - there is wear on it, and also there is the issue of the temperature dependency. So the designers at Shoottech converted it to composite limbs, making it the world's one and only steel ball shooting compound bow!

It is adjustable between 50 and 80 pounds of a draw force, and truly accurate. The peep sights are great.

I think it is amazing how they mastered the secret of making a bow that can handle "arrows" (should have said "projectiles") weighing under four grams... but it works.

Don't know it yet, haven't done any tests. But I think this bow is a BB specialist and will give mediocre results when you shoot arrows.

It is just great that I can practice archery using cheapo steel balls... arrows are expensive, and it takes so much time to retrieve them, especially at longer distances.

HI Slingshot society! It was not hard to click on and find!. I really hopes this gets thrpugh to thhe right pro. I bought one of the many 15mm ball launcher 20-70 lb rating. I thought It came with the bow! Wrong! Anyway I have this thing . I need to know a medium grade dual use compound bow that will fire those 15mm balls as far a s possible with strength. New territory for me. They advertise that It shoots at 500 plus fps and accurate to 100m. I hope all they say Is true. Any advice on the whole dual/steel business would be hugely appreciated. Thanks so much boys and girls!

Hi there Joerg! Happy New year! I am a young 54 archer/hunter and I have had a PSE 70lb that is nicely set up and I do not want to wreck It! I bought the 15mm ball launcher a while back and getting info has been hard. I want to get a reasonable used or new compound bow that will actually fit onto It! I want to take it on holiday and after watching the guy on you tube It would certainly keep intruders away! He he.I hold the bow with my right so your help would be greatly appreciated. Have a good shooting year.
