Raptor X - double string steel ball shooting bow

I reviewed the Raptor bow before. It is (was) a rubber powered bow that shoots steel balls, quite fast actually - almost 150 m/s (about 480 fps) with a 10 mm steel ball.

But the rubber was a weakness - there is wear on it, and also there is the issue of the temperature dependency. So the designers at Shoottech converted it to composite limbs, making it the world's one and only steel ball shooting compound bow!

It is adjustable between 50 and 80 pounds of a draw force, and truly accurate. The peep sights are great.

I think it is amazing how they mastered the secret of making a bow that can handle "arrows" (should have said "projectiles") weighing under four grams... but it works.

Looks like a whole lot of fun! I believe tin can season starts today.
Arrow performance

Hello Jörg,

do you know something about the performance with arrows?
What ist the IBO rating (30", 70lbs, 350grs) of the bow?

Best regards,

Oliver
Don't know it yet, haven't done any tests. But I think this bow is a BB specialist and will give mediocre results when you shoot arrows.

It is just great that I can practice archery using cheapo steel balls... arrows are expensive, and it takes so much time to retrieve them, especially at longer distances.
Anyone seen this?
It's says it will send 12mm balls to 370fps and has a IBO of 310 fps.

It's sold on ebay and seems to be named Nightblade.

where can i buy one!? i've been looking for one that uses limb strength instead of rubber bands, and i've been trying to find the raptor pro and/or the raptor x pro
I'm seeking for a store where I can buy a Recurve Bow. I've been searching for something that focuses on limb strength rather than rubber bands, and the raptor pro and/or raptor x pro fit the bill.
