I notice in your slo mos , when you are flipping that you start moving the slingshot before the release. If you used the same band setup, is there a difference in acceleration and thus speed of delivery?

Not really. The main advantages are safety (against hand hits) and fewer hand slaps from the returning pouch.

I usually wear a lether glove to protect against knuckle slaps but still flip my slingshot when i shoot simply because it feels right
