What would be the correct way to attach a length of paracord to a pouch instead of bands? I quick searched YT and found nothing. I'm not sure if its as simple as tying a hitch, or is there a pro-tip for doing this? A vid or link to pics would be great.

I want to have two ends of a 12in. paracord tied to a pouch forming a loop. The pouch can have the two sides holes or not have them, either way or both.

Neither, I just want the paracord on the pouch. I'll put bands on the paracord later. But the bands will never touch the pouch itself, the paracord is between the bands and pouch.

i misunderstood the original question lol

i used 3 strands of the inside of 550 paracord with a simple over under weave (like girls plaits)
i then tied into a loop (2 equal for both sides) then i poked a small amount through the hole in the pouch and pulled the rest through (i dont know this knot... maybe slip joint or something) and repeated the same to attach to the bands...

it grips the bands really well when using flats

plus the draw length is adjustable my a few cm by moving the cord up or down the bands

with tubes you can attach by just tieing a knot and slipping it inside the tubes then either wrap rubber or constrictor knot to hold steady...

That is actually a "heavy" Russian accent.

Most of the time I use a double fishermans knot when attaching paracord to a pouch on a sling(the david kind, not a slingshot).

Do it like here:

But only with one strand, loop the strand through the pouch hole and them do the bend on itself.

This seems to be the most streamlined solution. I should have thought of it. But I was unsure the string would find enough purchase in the cord to hold... unlike a band in which the string bites deep. I'll try to tie it with one of the strands from the paracord itself.

I used to do this too with my slings. Lashing the paracord with the paracord innards, it works well, looks good, but a knot with the paracord is faster, and looks good too.
I also used to put some tubes over the lashing, but that would be heavy for a ss use. With a sling it doesnt matter.
