...sounds complicated...but isn´t at all.

Just latin names for oak, brass and ash (blue stabilised roots to be exact)

Finished it a while ago, wanted nothing too fancy.

I
can say it is shaping and balancewise my finest Slingshot so far. You
can lay it on the front or backside and it will balance out, even on
those two small spots it rests on.

Hope you like it.

Cheers AnTrAxX

Wow, a really nice hammer for sure. Did you oil the wood? A light brushing with linseed may bring out the grain even more.

Seems like you have the same "problem" I suffer from... the Moorhammer design is so hard to be topped. When I make a frame, I always come back to it.

    Thank you so much Guys

i waxed it a few times with warm wax and polished it after that with a cotton cloth.
Won´t get wet when put under water, i made some pictures of that with a different slingshot, i can look them up and show them.

That was some quite expensive oak for furniture i got for free, uncraftet is has hardly any grain, nearly white and very dense, so there won´t be a lot more to show, even with oil i think.

You are completely right about that design. I still have the panther in the original shape that i you send me and a brass howitzer Pete made for me...don´t get me wrong, those are amazing slingshots that handle really well, but everytime i grip one of these...really a different game.

I made one for a mate a few weeks ago who is also registered here, he shot with a panther too...he never believed a slingshot can hadle so much better...until he tried this design.
Might sound stupid but i feel it even helps aiming...

So since the design is really perfect for me, toying around with materials is enough for me.
I´m easy to satisfy

So yea...the design is a bit like Coca-Cola for me...why swap to Pepsi?

CEZ: I milled it out of a 5mm plate.
