This one gets its name because it's lucky not to be a dog chew toy...the little rascal picked my pocket this morning and ran off with this beauty...but she brought it back later on in the afternoon. The frame was a little wet and muddy but otherwise unscathed. Only the bands and pouch were chewy I guess.

Nice! Lovely rosewood! Finally some pictures, MS!
I like your videos, but our 3g connection on phones here are crap for videos!
Do you have a blueprint or template? Certainly a design that I would like to try!

That's very nice of you to say. I have a paper template I will use to make some sort of image with to upload. And yes I have posted pictures:) I have very slow internet so I feel your pain.

    Thanks!

You made a great slingshot, MountainStorm!
The color is just amazing and it looks as smooth as a mirror.
Also a big compliment on the shooting videos!
I hope we see some more in near future. :)

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside after those kind words.

I approached the carving process from the top down. I dialed in the fork tops and forks enough to band up the frame and developed the grip using draw tension to find and eliminate hot spots. My left hand was getting tired which helped me find the best shapes to let my hand work most efficiently.

Shot it a fair amount last night and some this morning and it feels just right. The concave on one side is a new shape for me. I wanted a handle shape that felt right under draw tension. The "spoon" provides a nice register for pinky and ring finger tips under full draw. I am used to wrapping my hand around a convex handle and using that sort of grip strength to resist the pull back, but I find I can resist the tension better with my bottom two fingers in a "c" more perpendicular to the load.

I appreciate all the comments. Thank you.
