Hi, my name is Byron, and I'm a slingaholic. Seriously, I think I have an addiction.
So I was able to salvage the olive wood flooring sample into a PFS. I glued the two pieces back together and put the joint right in the center. Since its small and you grip the forks up I, I really don't foresee there being a structural problem. Same deal as the maple and walnut, no stain or oil, just CA glue for the finish. Buffed with jewelers rouge and final polish with Mother's Mag polish. She's going to get some TBG when my order comes in today. I hope you like it!

    Very nice pfs.

    What are it's dimensions ?

I'm thinking of going down the pfs road myself when I get the chance to make something. Small is beautiful.

I like it, haze. Nice work. You'll have to be sure to report back to us on how it functions over time. I'm really curious about that vertical center joint and how it will hold up to regular use.

E, all my non purpleheart boardcuts are samples, you know how safety first I am. Not to worry. I use a few tricks to enhance stability but they are good at 3/4 by themselves. PFS Excalibur is a 3/4 sample.

It's 3 inches across the forks and 5 inches tall. Sorry I just noticed you asked for the dimenssions. :)

It's bigger than I thought it was. I always imagine pfs' to be tiny.

Well, I'm actually trying to figure out if I should call it a PFS. I guess it's similar to the original but I've been looking back at some old threads talking about the original. I always figured it was just a loose term for the style but the last thing I want to do is diss respect the creator of these sweet shooters. I may start calling them Tuning Forks. Hehehe

Less than 2 cm of fork gaps, you call it a PFS.
