.... a knife. I always wanted to make a knife. A few weeks ago I got my hands on a damascus blade, so I decided to give it a try. The handle is made of water buffalo horn and stabilized mosaic maple with paper micarta spacer in between. I hope you like it.

    :D Phenomenal work!!

I don't know if you already know this, but if you apply wax on the buffalo horn and then goes over it with steelwool it gets very smooth and a bit more shiny :)

Mmmh… I like your work! Just a few days ago I was talking about inconsequent knife handles, what definitely not apply to your handle.

Great big lanyard hole, nice homemade pins, a wonderful choice of wood, separated from red spacers, really great!

You catch the curves of the blade and put them into the handle and gave a very characterful end to the handle.

    Once again nice work!

    Thank you KW

Too kind! Thanks FIAOO, master of GST MkII ;) Thanks for the hint with the buffalo horn. I will try this!

    Thank you zurdoman!

Ruthieeeeeeee! Glad that you like it!

Thanks Otees! I like as well damascus blades. Every blade has something unique!

Thanks BV! Everything is self-educated. Try and error is the best teacher. In my normal live I have a nine to five job in an office.

Thank you TP, tho I have to say that this is the most nonsense post in this thread.:D Man, you are making wonderful knives and slingshots. Your polished blade... oh my!!!!! A noob, sure lol

Thanks xXdoomXx. The steel has been folded several times which creates that pattern. Depending of the way of folding you get these swirl or waves or.....

    Thank you Ghost!

    Thanks mvd!

    Thank you onnod!

Xanthos!!! Thanks for stopping by dude and thanks for your kind comment!

Thank you AS! Glad that you like it!:)

..Thats what I say! He is quite the craftsman!

Ha LW, you have some mind reading skills. I tried to avoid staight lines and tried to follow the curves of the blade in the handle. Thanks for the kind feedback!

    Thank you Artons!

I made some step by step pics during the work. Maybe I will post a short build log...
