Here's my first alloy ss not finished but it's starting to take shape. It's not perfect but oh well.
Lookin' good. Red Oak board?
Looks like you are on your way! Keep at it!
Looks awesome, can't wait to see it finished!
I'm liking what I'm seeing!
Yes its red oak. Im thinking about dyeing the wood red then seeling it with linseed oil
i like it! can't wait to see it finished!
looking great, love to see it finished
Will I messed up my grips pretty good so I decided to go with an easier design but I'm not happy about it.
Well I put the dye on the stove to heat it up and after i put the grips in the hot dye it warped the grips so I tried to put a weight on them to flatten them back out and cracked one of the grips.
Bummer. One of the risks of this hobby. I guess if nothing else, you've learned a good lesson about how the wood reacts to the hot dye. Are you going to make some new scales now? It looks pretty decent with the paracord wrap, but I'd like to see it back to your original plan again, it was a nice start.
Ahhhhh! Every time I post a reply I get an error. So let's try this one more time.
Im going to keep the wrap and just start over fresh. I learned a few lessons with that one so the next one should be better. I've already got the scales glued on my new one.
