Here is a sketch of a BB shooter I plan to make from a cherry flooring sample I have.
Nice looking design, is it your own? Cherry is a lovely wood but sooo hard to rasp and file! Worth it though, looking forward to seeing it finished
That will be a fun little pocket ss. Cherry wood has such a sweet deep luster, it it sure to look great.
Strangely I too have recently received some flooring samples.
The forks are copied from my A+ BB shooter. I took the handle inspiration from the Maxim by FlippinOut.
This kinda looks like my slingshot.

woking with fruit trees gives a sweet mild scent when you work it! i can't wait to see it!
That is cool! Cherry is my absolute favorite wood to work with overall. I especially love the look of sap cherry in particular! I plan on building a BB shooter too in the near future after I finish a few other projects.
Look forwards to seeing the shooter when you get it done!

Still have not started this yet, can't get to my work bench at the moment.
Man, you are preaching to the choir. I carved out some time this weekend and was hoping to finish up last night when the car started acting up. The car is fixed but my workshop only saw me long enough to add an oil wipe down on the two naturals I carved this weekend (about five minutes).
