right, just got back in....

well talk about a little monster! When I took it out of the jiffy bag this morning I though wow! That's too small... it's never going to work, unless you're a pixie, boy was I WRONG! After picking it up and getting a grip on it I found it to be like a damn glove, a perfect fit. I took a
couple of shots at a pillow with the 2x TBG, but it's a bit too much for the 9.5mm steels I have in at the moment ( I need another casting session to make some more 12mm leads) so I slapped a set of 1x TBG target bands on...

I nipped off down the local woods not knowing what to expect- I've never used a dedicated side shooter before, so it took a bit of getting used to. I had some savage handslaps to begin
with, the bands whipping right round to clip your fingers, but I found you just need a little bit of forward tilt, and a flip and it works fine all I had to do then was learn to shoot it...

after figuring out how to avoid handslaps I've found that if you line up you elastics on your target all you have to do is account for the elevation of the shot, which basically gives you flipping terrifying accuracy! On the way back to the car there was a flock of seagulls down on the beach agood (no kidding) 45-50m away from me, I was able to hit 6 of the buggers before they all flew off out of about 10 shots! At that distance I'd normally be just able to get them into a 3'x 2' catchbox- the side shooter has a lot to say for itself!

I've dubbed it my 'RK Pocket Sniper' because that the level of accuracy the side shooter has given me, and because it's tiny, it a true pocket piece- it's going to be living in my manbag now and coming everywhere with me, replacing my old DanKung Palm Thunder- it's a lot easier to
shoot and the TBG packs a lot more oomf even on single bands than the 1745 looped tubes.

all in all, this is a very fun and easy to use slingshot,it takes a little bit of getting used to so it might not be good for a 1st time person, but for me I have found it a very capable and ergonomic slingshot- Bravo Rob!!
